Looking for a gentle, loving companion with an easygoing personality? Meet Darcy! Darcy is an approximately 6-year-old black Schnauzer mix who is calm, sweet, affectionate, and wonderful with both kids and other dogs. We guess our dogs’ breeds based on their physical appearance. We cannot guarantee that Darcy is a Schnauzer or any specific breed or breed mix. Darcy was found living on the streets of Guanajuato, Mexico, where life wasn’t always kind to her. She is missing a few teeth, likely a reminder of the difficult years she spent surviving on her own, but that hasn’t stopped this sweet girl from enjoying life or giving love. Darcy has a gentle, relaxed personality and loves being around people. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and is great with children, making her a wonderful match for a family looking for a calmer adult dog. We don’t currently know how she does with cats, but we would be happy to cat test her for an interested adopter. Her beautiful, Schnauzer-like coat will require regular grooming, approximately every other month, to keep her looking and feeling her best. Darcy is currently being fostered in Mexico and will travel to the U.S. once adopted. After surviving life on the streets, Darcy is ready for the simple things she deserves: a soft bed, gentle hands, plenty of love, and a family that will never leave her behind. If you’re looking for a sweet, calm, dog-friendly and kid-friendly companion, Darcy may be the one you’ve been waiting for.
