Meet Mazzy! This 6-month-old Lab/Heeler mix is a lively girl weighing around 28 pounds, expected to reach about 40 pounds when fully grown. Known for her sweet and curious nature, Mazzy quickly makes friends with both humans and dogs, relishing every moment of play and adventure. She enjoys walks, hikes, and sniffing around, along with lounging and playing with her chew toys. Noteworthy is her talent for finding forgotten treats on the trail as if she has a nose for treasure. Mazzy is treat-motivated and eager to learn, already mastering commands like sit, lay down, and shake. She’s doing well with house training and walks nicely on a leash. Like many puppies, she's still learning her manners, but her eagerness to please shines through. Mazzy thrives on companionship and adores other dogs, getting along well with her foster dog and quickly making friends on hikes. She’s also friendly and curious around the cats in her foster home. However, as she hasn’t yet met young children, any introductions would need to be thoughtful. When she first arrived, she was a bit hesitant about being petted, but she soon learned to trust people and now generously shares kisses. Mazzy has a playful habit of thoroughly inspecting empty food bowls after a meal, making sure no morsel is left behind. She would thrive in an active home with a fenced yard, especially with people who love taking walks and going on hikes. While she will benefit from the patience and consistency that comes with puppy training, her affectionate and smart nature makes her a wonderful companion.
