Meet Porkchop! Porkchop arrived at the Animal Welfare Society after being rescued from a difficult situation. After five long months in animal control, he finally found his way into a rescue that believes he deserves a second chance. Despite his tough past, Porkchop is a loveable guy who thrives on human attention and is highly food motivated. He’s eager to please, but occasionally gets a bit overstimulated and might try to hump when excited. A firm “off” will usually do the trick. It’s important to note that his energy might make him unsuitable for very small children, and his compatibility with other pets is still unknown. Porkchop would greatly benefit from professional training to learn some basic manners, especially walking nicely on a leash — he’s a big boy and can pull. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped, ready for his forever home. This could be the start of something paw-some.
