This well-trained pup knows commands like sit, stay, leave it, and place. He enjoys learning through positive reinforcement and structure. Fully house-trained and crate-trained, he settles nicely when left alone, often watching the world pass by through the window. Tex loves daily walks, games of fetch, and running around to stretch his legs. Affectionate and loyal, Tex forms strong bonds with his caregivers. He adapts well to new people, as he illustrated when he welcomed new caregivers when his family was away. Tex is friendly with other dogs and has a playful, social energy that shines through in interactions. He remains patient and easygoing, even when sharing space or toys with canine companions. However, he also has a strong herding instinct, particularly around fast-moving children. There have been instances where he has bitten when overstimulated, so he would do best in an adult-only home or one with older teens familiar with herding breeds.
