Meet Opalite, affectionately called Opal. She is a lovable black lab and Pit Bull Terrier mix currently residing in a foster home in Spring, TX. Rescued from a high-kill shelter, Opalite was on the brink of euthanasia but found a second chance thanks to her amazing foster family. At around 2 years old and weighing 38 pounds, Opal is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped, making her ready for a forever home. This sweet girl thrives in a playful environment. She's dog-friendly and currently lives with another dog; her energy level is moderate with bursts of playfulness. Opal adores children and currently lives with ages 9 to 14, making her a great match for a family with kids aged 8 and up. Although she’s not yet tested with cats, she shows no signs of aggression towards others. Opalite is also fully potty and crate trained. She walks nicely on a leash and meets other dogs calmly. Her gentle, affectionate nature is evident as she loves to share her toys and play fetch. While she can be a bit mouthy during playtime, she responds well to redirection.
