Nikolai is a resilient and affectionate adult cat who has overcome significant challenges in his past. Found injured in his neighborhood, he faced the possibility of euthanasia due to a gunshot wound and a broken leg. Thankfully, he received the care he needed, including a leg amputation, and has shown incredible spirit. This friendly cat is FIV+ but is otherwise healthy, demonstrating an impressively playful demeanor, especially when fostered with kittens. Nikolai adores being close to his humans, often seeking lap time and affection. Although he can be overstimulated at times, he's great at giving warning signs before he needs a break—an understanding home, especially one with older kids who can respect his space, would be ideal. His favorite companions are female cats, though he generally gets along well with others. While loud noises can make him uneasy, he truly is a gentleman at heart.
