Meet Josie! If Josie had a life motto, it would probably be "What's the rush?" This sweet girl embodies island time, moving through life with a gentle, relaxed energy that you can’t help but adore. At about 1.5 years old, she weighs around 65 pounds and is a charming Collie mix with a stunning coat. Josie is affectionate and would choose your company over treats any day. Initially a bit reserved, she’s slowly blossoming, revealing her playful and curious side. She enjoys playtime with the right dog, though she might not mesh well with a particularly grouchy canine housemate. Josie is friendly with both dogs and cats, crate trained, house trained, and walks well on a leash—though she might lose her composure if a squirrel crosses her path. Toys and bones are becoming her newfound joy as she learns to indulge in the fun. Josie’s journey began during the harsh winter storm of February 2025 when a Good Samaritan rescued a heavily pregnant stray. Unfortunately, the mother wandered off, leaving behind four puppies in freezing conditions, of which Josie was one of the lucky survivors. After a year and a half of love and care, she and her sister, Junie, are now looking for families of their own. Gentle, goofy, and always ready to take life at her pace, Josie simply needs someone to finally choose her. This could be the start of something special for you both.
