Though she can feel uneasy with strangers, Mandy has shown remarkable improvement in her social skills, choosing to stay in the room with her foster family rather than retreating outside. Once she trusts someone, her loving and gentle nature shines through. An ideal home for Mandy would be with experienced owners who understand the importance of patience. Children in her new family should be at least 10 years old, respecting her need for space. While she loves other dogs and is learning to coexist with cats, continued positive exposure will help her feel more secure around them. Mandy is progressing well with house training as long as she has consistent trips outdoors. She sleeps peacefully with her foster family and does well in a crate. However, being a puppy, she loves to chew and has figured out how to climb baby gates to explore. This smart and active girl thrives on structure, mental stimulation, and adventure.
