About Lainey

Lainey’s journey started on the streets just south of San Antonio, Texas. Despite her tough beginnings, she carried a gentle spirit that shone through her vulnerability. A compassionate man, seeing her sweetness and potential, was determined to rescue her from life on the streets. After reaching out to multiple rescues without success, he finally found us in February 2024, and we couldn't resist saying yes. At the vet, Lainey was estimated to be around two years old. She quickly charmed everyone with her calm demeanor and trusting nature. After being spayed and fully vetted, she showcased her remarkable qualities. She walked perfectly on a leash and stayed close to her humans, radiating friendship. She was adopted shortly after. In her first home, Lainey flourished—she was loving with toddlers and friendly with other dogs. Fully house and crate trained, she thrived by simply being near her family. However, due to unexpected fencing issues, her safety became a concern, leading her family to make the difficult decision to return her. Next, Lainey joined a young military couple. They adored her, but after a few months, they divorced, leaving Lainey without a home once again. Now, Lainey awaits a forever family. She remains the affectionate, gentle soul she’s always been. Lainey would do wonderfully in a home with or without other dogs and walks beautifully on a leash. All she longs for is a loving family and a place to truly call home. Lainey turned three in March 2026 and is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. She simply desires a cozy spot on the couch and someone to call her name.
