Meet St. Luke! This handsome pittie mix, about 3 years old, found a second chance after being rescued from a local shelter. He was shot in the leg and left as a stray, but after swift veterinary care, his leg has fully healed. St. Luke is an outgoing, friendly boy who adores everyone he meets. He enjoys the company of other dogs after proper introductions and walks nicely on a leash. He’s currently honing his crate and household manners in foster care. St. Luke does prefer a cat-free environment and can be a bit apprehensive during thunderstorms, finding comfort in a thunder shirt and some snuggles from his humans. His foster describes him as an incredible companion, loving to swim at the lake, which is his absolute favorite pastime. While he can be protective at home, once outside, he becomes a total sweetheart to strangers. Whether he’s running around playing outside or cuddling on the couch, he truly is the best!
