About Darby and Dexter
Darby and Dexter are a bonded pair of senior Weimaraners seeking a loving family to enjoy their golden years together. These sweet boys have been cherished since puppyhood, but due to unexpected circumstances, their original owner has made the tough decision to re-home them. We're grateful to assist in this transition and hope to find a Weimaraner-loving home that can provide the time and companionship they need. Darby, at 11 years old, enjoys relaxing and lounging but still gets excited for the park or short walks. He prefers shady spots for resting and walks well on a leash, though he may need a slower pace than his younger brother. While he might bark at first when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and gets along well with other dogs. Then there's Dexter, the 9-year-old who still embodies a puppy's spirit. He happily joins in walks and loves playing fetch. He’s a true companion, always by your side, and also does well with other dogs. Both are crate-trained and current on their vaccinations, and despite their age, they are in good health. Darby takes a daily joint supplement for arthritis and needs a little help getting into a car, but together they are gentle, affectionate, and very much bonded.
