Meet Max. Life hasn’t always been easy for him, but after a lucky break, he found himself right where he belongs. Just over a year old, Max is still learning about safety, love, and freedom. Every day brings new experiences for this sweet boy as he embraces the joys of being a young dog. He can be a bit shy around new people, and that's okay; with time and understanding, he’s gradually learning that humans can be kind. When he feels secure, Max transforms into a delightful bundle of energy. He loves chasing after balls, exploring interesting smells, and sharing time with his canine buddies, outdoor cats, and curious birds. Max enjoys observing little humans play, but he prefers to keep a comfortable distance for now. If someone tosses a ball his way, however, he’s quick to join the fun! His ideal home is one with patience and space for him to adjust at his own pace. Max needs a family ready to help him build his confidence and show him that he’s finally home.
