About Lainey

Lainey’s journey began far from the comforts of home, wandering the streets just south of San Antonio, Texas. Despite her difficult past, she retained a sweet disposition that drew the attention of a kind gentleman who couldn't bear the thought of her ending up in a shelter where her future would be uncertain. He tirelessly contacted rescue after rescue, hoping for a chance for Lainey until his call was answered in February 2024. At the vet, Lainey was estimated to be around two years old, immediately capturing hearts with her calm demeanor and trusting gaze. After being spayed and fully vetted, she blossomed further, demonstrating her gentle nature by walking beautifully on a leash and staying close to her loved ones. It wasn’t long before she found a home. In her new environment, Lainey shone like a star. She was fantastic with toddlers and friendly towards other dogs, and she adapted well to house and crate training. Unfortunately, a series of events led her back to rescue, first after her family faced fencing issues that made her unsafe, and then again when a divorce left her seeking a stable home once more. Now, Lainey awaits her forever family. This affectionate soul is eager to share love and companionship. She's great with other dogs and children, making her a perfect addition to many households. Lainey turned three in March 2026 and is all set, up to date on vaccinations and ready for a caring home.
