About A.c.
A.C. is at our shelter, eagerly waiting for his forever home. He came to Heartland from Tennessee, where he spent three long years in a rural shelter. Despite being a favorite among visitors, he never found a family. This handsome, mixed-breed boy is not just any dog; he was a star at adoption events, promoting shelter dogs and charming everyone he met. With a sweet disposition, A.C. is a true gentleman who greets everyone with a wagging tail and plays nicely with other dogs. He rides well in a car and walks perfectly on a leash. Adjusting quickly to life in Illinois, A.C. remains friendly and calm, showing that he's ready for a loving home. His stunning velvety brown fur and caramel-colored eyes make him hard to resist. A.C. is what we call a "plug and play": he has outgrown the puppy stage but is still lively enough for hikes and fun play times, followed by cozy movie nights on the couch. A.C. is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and heartworm negative. He does need a dental cleaning, which we will provide at no cost within six months of adoption. This delightful dog has waited too long for a family. If you're looking for the perfect canine companion, come meet A.C. and see if heβs the one for you!
