Meet Rosie! If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, playful girl who wants to be part of your life, Rosie may just be the right match for you. Just look at that adorable face! Rosie is a young Pit Bull mix, about 7 months old, and weighs around 30 pounds. Rescued as a stray, she’s truly thriving in her foster care and is proving to be an incredible little companion. This energetic girl has been house-trained since her second day in foster care, is crate-trained, knows the command "sit," and is making great strides learning “drop it.” Food motivates her, making training enjoyable because she picks up on new tasks quickly. Rosie loves her walks. Navigating the great outdoors is still a new adventure for her, so she finds squirrels, rabbits, and other dogs fascinating. With each outing, she becomes more confident, enjoying the sights and smells around her. At home, Rosie is a lovebug. She adores cuddling, whether it’s on the couch or curling up on a soft pillow. She's playful too, enjoying tug games, chasing water from a garden hose, and using her nose to hunt for treats hidden in the grass. This girl has a balanced energy level — she enjoys regular walks and playtime but also appreciates some downtime afterward. Although she is social, Rosie doesn't require constant entertainment. She has been good with the dogs she's met and is cautious and submissive initially, so continued positive introductions will help build her confidence. When it comes to kids, she has done well with the older children she has met; however, we recommend a home with older kids to ensure a good match. As for cats and small animals, careful consideration is needed. Rosie hasn’t been tested with cats, and her instinct to chase smaller critters may pose a concern. A family who includes their dog in daily life — walks, adventures, playtime, and plenty of love — would be ideal for Rosie. A fenced yard would be wonderful, though she could thrive in an apartment if her exercise needs are met. Rosie can stay calmly in her crate for a few hours, but being people-oriented, she wouldn’t be happiest alone all day. She’s up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and has no known health issues. While she’s not yet spayed, she’s ready for a forever home. Rosie has the charm of a playful puppy, the affection of a cuddle bug, and the eagerness of an eager learner.
