About Josephine

Josephine, affectionately known as JoJo, is a tiny survivor with a big personality hiding behind her enormous eyes. After arriving as a sickly little kitten, she has shown incredible resilience and transformed into a vibrant and energetic young cat with a hearty appetite. These days, she plays enthusiastically and has discovered how fun life can be. JoJo is quite shy around people. If approached too quickly, she may dash away in a flash. But don’t be fooled; she's not antisocial. JoJo simply needs a safe space to come out of her shell at her own pace. She adores toys, especially balls, and enjoys playing nearby her humans. One of her amusing quirks is her penchant for sneakily attacking human toes and feet—your ankles just might be the most thrilling toys in her world. Another cat’s presence has been invaluable in helping her gain confidence. Watching them has encouraged JoJo to explore more. Because she is still adapting to human interaction, JoJo isn’t suited for homes with young children. Older, respectful kids who understand cat behavior may be acceptable. JoJo needs a quiet, patient home where her humans recognize that building trust will take time. She may not be a traditional lap cat, but with the right approach, she is bound to form a unique bond with someone who respects her boundaries. JoJo will be spayed before adoption, is up to date on vaccinations, and is FeLV/FIV negative. All kittens under six months must go to homes with another young cat or be adopted with a friend.
