Omar came to the Lighthouse after a neighbor trapped him and a couple of other cats in his backyard. From the start, he showed signs of being house-trained and friendly, suggesting he might have been a house cat before finding himself outdoors. Once released from quarantine, Omar’s true personality shone through. This gentle giant has taken up an ‘opera career,’ showcasing his impressive vocal range whenever he wants attention. He’s not overly noisy; he just prefers to express himself loudly. Despite his rough past, Omar is sweet and loving, quickly winning over the hearts of the volunteers. He gets along well with all cats, although he sometimes misses the signals of those who have had enough of his serenades. He'd thrive in a family environment, ideally with calm cats already in the home. Good with children, Omar’s history with dogs is still a mystery.
