Meet Pepper, a spayed female Pharaoh Hound mix who’s about 3 years old. She is obedient and quick to learn commands like "sit," "wait," "come here," and she’s currently working on "down." Pepper enjoys walks with volunteers, making great eye contact and bonding with them during the exercise. Once comfortable, she loves to cuddle, resting her head on your shoulder. Though she enjoys chasing toys, she’s not overly fixated on them. Pepper plays daily with a male German Shepherd at the rescue, showing a dominant side when it comes to toys. A submissive dog would be a better match for her. While she may ignore cats when they’re introduced cautiously, she has barked at strangers when feeling nervous.
