While he lost an eye due to injury, it hasn't stopped him from being an affectionate and friendly dog. Rusty has a medium activity level and gets along well with other dogs. Located in Raymond, MS, he is eager for a loving forever home.
About Rusty
Meet Rusty! This 9-month-old Australian Kelpie/Shepherd mix has faced challenges that would discourage most, but not him. Rescued at just 3 months old, he had a painful chemical burn that ran the length of his back. We’ll never know what caused it, but thankfully, he’s received the care he needed from his rescue family. He did suffer an eye injury that required his eye to be removed, but this hasn’t dimmed his spirit. Today, Rusty is a happy, healthy boy looking for his forever home. With a medium activity level, he enjoys walks but is not demanding; he’s really looking for a home that's a perfect balance of activity and relaxation. Rusty has great manners, gets along wonderfully with dogs of all ages, and is crate trained—ideal for a family setting. Despite his past, Rusty keeps a sweet nature and deserves a family that will appreciate all he has to offer. He is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for adoption.
