Gene is a lean and large domestic shorthair with beautiful bicolor gray and white fur, accented by classic tabby markings. His pink nose and colorful toe beans add to his charm. He’s a big sweetheart, always looking for affection—mostly by rubbing against legs, especially when it's feeding time. He loves playing with both people and other cats, and he's an excellent foster uncle. While Gene doesn't enjoy being picked up, he will tolerate it for the right moments. His sister, Gertie, is a soft and lovely dilute tabico who tends to be more reserved than her brother. Her personality shines with a little patience and some treats to coax her out of her shell. Although she communicates well with other cats, she prefers to come to you for attention rather than the other way around. Gertie loves perching high up to sleep and enjoys playing with teaser toys. Gene and Gertie will thrive in a calm, quiet home where they can continue to build trust.
