About Stan
Meet Stan, your future best friend. This two-year-old Border Collie came to us from Kern County Shelter after suffering from a broken tibia and fibula, most likely after being hit by a car. He recently underwent surgery to stabilize his fractures and is now on the road to recovery. Despite the pain he's been through, Stan remains the sweetest soul. He wags his tail joyfully whenever you call him handsome— and he truly is. He's learned to go to his bed on command and adores his toys and puppy ice cream. It makes you wonder how someone like him ended up anywhere but in a loving home. Stan is looking for a dream home with space to run, ideally a farm or property where he can thrive as a Border Collie while also enjoying cozy time indoors with his humans. Once he’s healed, he’ll need a patient adopter who will shower him with love and tell him daily that he’s the best boy—because he absolutely is. If you're ready to welcome a loving companion into your life, apply to adopt Stan today. All pets from Wags and Whiskers go home vaccinated, microchipped, and altered. Remember, adopting is a long-term commitment, so be ready to love for over a decade!
