About Emery Hiking Bestie
Meet Emery, affectionately known as Emmy. This lovely Greyhound and American Staffordshire Terrier mix approximates a birthdate of September 19, 2024, and boasts a friendly and sweet demeanor. Weighing in at 47 lbs, Emery adores wearing costumes—she was even a vampire and a witch for Halloween this year, relishing the chance to look fabulous while posing for the camera. Recently, she enjoyed a foster outing where a volunteer noted her gentle way of taking treats and her docile temperament with trusted humans. Emery is treat-motivated, making training a breeze, and she also loves car rides, behaving well during travels. Currently living with other dogs, she thrives on playtime and would make a fantastic hiking or running buddy, as she exudes energy. However, she can be wary of men, so a patient, understanding owner would be ideal as she learns that life doesn’t require constant vigilance. Rescued from a county shelter where euthanasia loomed, Emery possesses a joyful spirit, eager to embrace her new journey. Emery is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She's kennel and potty trained, friendly with dogs, but does not get along with cats or children. Located in Chambersburg, PA, she’s ready to meet her perfect match—could that be you? Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
