About Emery Hiking Bestie
Meet Emery, affectionately known as Emmy. She's a 1-year and 11-month-old Greyhound and American Staffordshire Terrier mix. This lovely girl, who weighs about 47 lbs, has a birthday coming up on September 19. Emery brings joy wherever she goes, especially when she’s dressing up. This Halloween, she was a vampire and a witch, loving every moment of posing for the camera. Notes from her foster outing reveal Emery's gentle nature; she accepts treats delicately and is naturally well-behaved with people she trusts. Car rides are another favorite of hers, and she behaves beautifully during trips. Currently, she’s in a foster home with other dogs, enjoying her time playing. Emery has boundless energy, making her an ideal companion for hiking or running. While she can be a bit cautious around men, she thrives with a patient and adventurous adopter willing to help her transition into a life free from survival instincts. Rescued from a crowded county shelter where she faced euthanasia, Emery is now fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is house-trained and does well with dogs, but she isn’t suited for homes with children or cats. Emery is rooted in Chambersburg, PA, and is ready for her forever home.
