Meet Joplin! Joplin is a Wirehaired Terrier mix with a rock 'n' roll spirit and an abundance of love to share. She came into rescue with her brother, Hendrix, but they are not bonded and can be adopted separately. Joplin can be a bit shy at first, but once she gets comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. She's like a Velcro dog, sticking close to her person, soaking up affection, and welcoming pets. While she seems to have spent much of her life outdoors, Joplin is discovering the joys of indoor living, especially when it comes to comfy beds—she absolutely loves a human bed! Her leash manners are improving as she learns to walk on a leash, and she is crate trained. Potty training is still a work in progress, so she would do best with crate supervision during the day. Joplin has met dogs in her foster home and gets along well with them. She is also good with cats and children, making her a versatile companion. However, potential adopters should be aware that she is quite athletic and can clear a standard-height fence, so proper supervision is essential when she's outside.
