About Samantha
Meet Samantha! Samantha is an adorable Chihuahua and Pug mix, often called a Chug. At around 2 to 3 years old, she weighs about 14 pounds. Having likely had at least one litter before arriving at the rescue, her past remains a mystery, but it's evident she's learning to feel safe. Initially, Samantha is quite timid when entering new spaces, responding to fear by avoiding interaction rather than showing aggression. However, after a few days in a secure environment, she starts to emerge from her shell. Attention and affection are what she craves, though she’s still coming to terms with trusting people. This little sweetheart is dog-friendly and would benefit from the companionship of another social dog to boost her confidence. She’s also cat-friendly. Samantha requires a secure yard and isn’t suited for apartment living. Currently, she's not leash trained but will go outside to potty if someone accompanies her. Samantha deserves a patient, loving home where she can take her time to adjust and build her confidence. Behind her initial shyness lies a sweet girl eager to experience love and safety.
