Meet Rose! This sweet, gentle girl has a heart full of love and is looking for a patient family to help her feel safe and confident. Rose was surrendered due to behavioral concerns and comes with a history of a previous bite incident. She has lived with other dogs but can become possessive over food and toys. Despite her past, Rose is an absolute sweetheart at the shelter. Staff describe her as timid, gentle, and incredibly affectionate. She walks well on a leash, takes treats politely, and seeks out hugs and reassurance when anxious. While in the play yard, she prefers to stay close to her handler, happily following their lead. Rose tolerates handling well, allowing staff to touch her face, paws, and tail. She has shown no aggressive behavior towards unfamiliar people, making her a joy to be around. Given her background and potential for possessiveness, Rose needs an experienced adopter who understands her breed. Structure, positive training, and careful management will be essential.
