About Jafar
Meet Jafar and Captain Hook! Disney may have named them after notorious villains, but these two are much more timid than terrifying. Arriving as shy kittens, they faced their fears with hissing, growling, and hiding, signaling their unease. Over the past three months, they have made impressive strides towards comfort. Hook is the bolder of the two, eager for treats and some affection, although he can't shake his growly soundtrack. Despite his warnings, he enjoys a good head scratch and can sometimes be found snoozing while still growling. Jafar, on the other hand, is a more cautious soul, with wide, worried eyes that seek refuge. He's starting to explore and accept treats, gradually finding his bravery to return after the kennel door opens. When left alone, these boys transform into playful kittens, racing around, snuggling, and relying on each other for comfort. Hook often reassures Jafar by resting his head on him, while Jafar finds solace in burrowing against his brother. They thrive in calm, adult-only homes (older teens may be fine) where their shy nature is understood, and progress is recognized at their own pace. A confident resident cat could help guide them.
