About Ellis
Meet Ellis! This sweet 8-week-old female short-haired kitten arrived at Rockwall Animal Adoption Center with her two siblings after being found outside. Their original caretakers decided they weren't prepared to look after three young kittens and brought them in for a better chance at finding loving homes. Ellis had a tough beginning and came to the shelter feeling scared and under-socialized. However, she is slowly making progress. While still shy, she has grown more tolerant of being handled and is beginning to learn that humans can be friendly. Ellis will thrive in a patient home that understands that building trust may take time. With the right encouragement and consistent, gentle handling, she has the potential to come out of her shell. Although she isn't actively seeking affection yet, her cautious nature means she needs a caring adopter who can guide her as she learns what it means to feel secure. Ellis's spay surgery is scheduled for September 30, 2026, and she will need to stick around until then.
