Meet Violet! This adorable fluffy gal somehow ended up at a high-kill shelter in Houston. When her time was up, an amazing foster saw her plea for help and jumped in, saving her life. Thank goodness she did, because now we get to tell you all about Violet herself. Violet is a sweet, gentle soul. Just look into her eyes. We estimate she is around seven years old, which we think is the perfect age. She’s moved past the puppy chaos and settled into her calm, loving cuddle-in-bed era. Violet likely spent most of her life as an outdoor dog. Her body does show some signs of wear from those years, but thankfully, those days are behind her. She has discovered the joys of air conditioning, soft beds, cozy blankets, and the comfort of sleeping indoors with her people. Though indoor life is relatively new, she's making great progress with her potty training. She’s not quite 100% yet, but she’s learning and improving each day. A family with a little patience will help her embrace her new spoiled-house-dog lifestyle. Violet loves other dogs and is also great with cats, so she’d be perfectly happy sharing her forever home with furry siblings. She walks nicely on a leash without pulling, rides well in the car, and enjoys life’s little adventures. At about 58 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized fluffy companion. While she may not be ready for 15-mile mountain hikes anymore, she enjoys walks around the neighborhood, car rides, and curling up in bed for a cuddle. Violet’s ideal home is one that offers plenty of time and an easygoing lifestyle. After years without the comforts every dog deserves, we want her to enjoy the rest of her life filled with soft beds, adventures, and lots of love. She deserves a family that ensures she never has to wonder where she belongs again. Even at seven, Violet has so many happy years ahead.
