About Marty
Meet Marty! This distinguished gentleman found himself at a high-kill shelter in Houston, where he landed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, some caring volunteers couldn't bear the thought of losing such a perfect dog, so they rallied foster families to rescue him. Now, Marty is safe and ready for his forever home. Marty is a sociable guy who loves spending time with people, particularly his foster dad. He’s friendly and warms up quickly, unlike some dogs that may take a while around new men. He has met kids, dogs, and even cats, getting along well with everyone. Marty enjoys relaxing on the patio, taking occasional breaks to alert his humans with a bark when necessary. Overall, he’s a calm soul who delights in being near his loved ones. Having shared his home with both small and large dogs, he gets along with all. Marty would be happy to have a friendly dog as a companion. He is potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys car rides. Though kennel trained, he prefers the comfort of a couch, so a kennel-free home would be ideal for him. At about 5 years old, Marty has reached that golden stage of maturity. He currently weighs around 65 pounds, and he could stand to gain a bit more. His adoption fee is $600, which includes transport to his new family, and he will be ready for adoption once he completes heartworm treatment in October. Marty just wants to be part of a family, to tag along on adventures, and enjoy brunch on the patio. If you think you can offer him that home, apply to adopt Marty today!
