About Glitter
Meet Glitter! This sweet girl has faced challenges in her journey. Glitter ended up at one of Houston's shelters not once, but twice. Initially adopted in 2024, she was later found as a stray. When a volunteer from our team met her, it was an instant connection, and we knew we had to rescue her. Glitter has a sparkling personality! She thrives on human companionship and wants to be as close as possible. During her time in a foster home, she absolutely adored a four-year-old, often following him around and showering him with kisses. One enthusiastic little boy even said, "She’s always in my bubble,” which perfectly captures her affectionate nature. Smart and eager to please, Glitter knows sit and down, appears to be potty trained, and is fully kennel trained, settling quietly at night without any fuss. While she’s still discovering the fun of toys, she loves to toss them around. This lovely dog enjoys the company of other dogs and would greatly benefit from a friendly canine sibling in her forever home. She can be a bit sassy when meeting new dogs but quickly adapts once boundaries are established. Glitter may become protective of her human’s attention with other dogs, a behavior stemming from her past. However, she responds well to gentle correction from her foster and shows no aggression whatsoever. One of her favorite activities? Going for car rides! Whether it’s a trip to the dog park or just taking her kiddo to school, Glitter is always ready for an adventure. She walks nicely on a leash and is medium energy, thriving on hikes and weekend outings. At around three years old and weighing 33 pounds, Glitter could use to gain a little weight but is in good health and fully vetted. She has some matted hair but is scheduled for a grooming appointment soon. After her past experiences with instability, Glitter deserves a loving family committed to her for the long haul. In return, you’ll gain a loyal companion and a true friend. Glitter is currently in Houston, Texas, but is open to adoption nationwide. Her $600 adoption fee covers transport to her new home.
