About Baxter

Baxter's journey started under difficult circumstances, but it’s blossoming into a tale of hope. This striking adult cat was left in a box outside Petco with a note revealing his owner's struggles with homelessness and illness. At first, Baxter felt the need to hiss and snarl as a form of protection, keeping his distance from people who wanted to help. Fortunately, he found a nurturing foster home where he received the time and kindness he desperately needed. Gradually, Baxter began to trust again, shedding his tough facade to reveal a sweet and loving companion who now embraces the joys of a cozy bed and fluffy pillows. He enjoys the company of kittens and shows some comfort with feline friends, although he can be particular about adult cats, having had a few tussles with the resident alpha male. With the right adopter to continue building his confidence, Baxter will thrive and serve as a reminder of the transformative power of love. Are you ready to be part of Baxter’s new chapter?
