Izzy is a remarkable 13-year-old Miniature Schnauzer mix who's ready to turn the page on a tough chapter of her life. Weighing in at 12 pounds, this little go-getter has endured more than any senior dog should have to face. After being rescued from an unkind environment, she’s now on a journey to find a quiet, loving home where she can truly belong. Despite her past, Izzy has a heart full of sweetness and a strong desire for companionship. She does have limited vision due to cataracts, but her hearing is sharp, and she can often be found contentedly following the sounds of her favorite people. Nestled in the comfort of her foster home, she thrives on companionship and loves to have small canine friends and even cats around. Izzy also enjoys exploring her fenced yard at her own pace, taking in all the wonderful scents, and while she likes leash walks, they’re less about distance and more about savoring the journey. This special girl has shown us that she just wants safety, love, and a spot beside you on chilly nights. As she continues to heal from a severe yeast infection, her coat is returning to its glory, and she's bound to be a beautiful little companion. With her house-trained status and gentle demeanor, Izzy would thrive with someone who’s home most of the time, possibly retired or working from home.
