Jewel is a 4-year-old sweetheart who has overcome quite a lot, yet her gentle spirit remains bright. She arrived at the shelter underweight while caring for her nine puppies, and now that they're all adopted, it's finally her turn to shine and find the loving home she deserves. As a lower-energy girl, Jewel adores affection and loves belly rubs, body scratches, and cuddles. While she enjoys being close to her person, she also appreciates having her quiet space. Incredibly smart and food-motivated, she takes treats gently and proudly shows off the many tricks she's learned. At heart, she's a couch potato but enjoys playful moments, happily fetching toys and balls. Jewel has a fun, goofy side, too; she doesn't mind wearing outfits and even gets excited about them! When anxious, a calm pet and gentle reassurance help her relax quickly. She truly is the sweetest companion and wants nothing more than to be someone's best friend. Jewel needs to be the only pet in the home with no other dogs or cats so she can soak up all the love and attention she craves.
