About Sam & Dean
Meet Sam & Dean! These two adorable little guys are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together. Sam is a Chihuahua mix, about 6 years old, weighing in at 17 lbs. He is a bit chunky, ideally needing to be around 15 lbs. Dean, the 3-year-old Dachshund, tips the scales at 27 lbs and should ideally be closer to 24 lbs. Both boys need a bit of weight loss and are on a diet in their foster care. Surrendered due to a hoarding situation, they arrived at the shelter needing care and attention. Despite their rocky start, the bond between Sam and Dean is undeniable. They have lived together their entire lives and look to each other for comfort. Separating them would be heartbreaking; they deserve to leave their past behind and start fresh in a loving home together. These sweet boys are good with other dogs and get along well in their foster home with two other dogs. Affectionate and cuddly, they are truly love bugs. Adopting them might seem like double the work, but together, they bring twice the joy. They’re already a great team and will keep each other company when you're busy. Sam & Dean are ready for a fresh start in Colorado. They require a loving home where they can stay together. Ideal adopters would work from home or be retired, as these social dogs need companionship throughout the day. Consistent stimulation and exercise with some positive reinforcement training will also help them thrive. They are both up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, fully vetted, and neutered. If you think you could be the perfect match for this delightful duo, applications are being accepted now!
