Stanley is a charming and engaging pup looking for his forever family. Sweet, silly, and exceptionally loyal, he has soulful eyes that seem to hold wisdom. He was rescued from a crowded animal control facility alongside his five littermates when they were just three months old. Now at nine months and weighing in at 55 pounds, Stanley is a mix of German Shepherd, Husky, and Bluetick Coonhound, with hints of Akita and American Staffordshire Terrier. Though initially a bit reserved, especially around larger men or those with beards, Stanley's nervous bark quickly settles into curiosity. He simply needs a patient, confident guardian to help him build his confidence around new people. His prior home was busy, which sometimes overwhelmed him, but he's making great strides in foster care. Stanley thrives in the company of other dogs, which help him feel secure and confident. A home with at least one other balanced dog would be wonderful, but it’s not essential. This young athlete has a lot of energy and enjoys activities like hiking and games of fetch. He's intelligent, clever, and eager to please, meaning training and mental stimulation will keep him happy. He is crate and house trained, already has some basic training, and is up-to-date with vaccinations.
