About Corduroy Miller

Corduroy Miller is a sweet 7-year-old Shih Tzu weighing 13 pounds who is just starting to experience the warmth of love and companionship after being rescued from a breeder. This gentle boy is adjusting well in his foster home, where he remains mostly quiet and calm. While he tends to ignore his foster dog siblings, he might also get along with a cat—though he's likely to shy away if approached too quickly. This little guy thrives best in a serene environment with a patient family. He'd be a wonderful addition for older couples who can provide the calmness he needs, as young kids might be a bit too much for him right now. Corduroy's potty training is impressive; though he requires assistance getting outdoors and plenty of time once he’s outside, he has made great progress. At night, he is a dream—he sleeps soundly in his crate, which he finds comforting as his safe space. While he's not quite ready for the spotlight just yet, his journey towards feeling secure and loved is well underway. Corduroy simply needs a home that understands his gentle nature and can offer him time, kindness, and a secure place to flourish. If you are open to providing this precious boy with the supportive environment he deserves, he will surely reward you with the joy of watching him come out of his shell.
