Meet Alfie! This sweet and outgoing little guy is almost 2 years old and about 15 pounds of pure happiness and fun. Alfie loves people; making new friends is one of his favorite things to do. He’s affectionate, curious, and playful, ready to join in on whatever you’re doing. When it comes to dogs, he absolutely adores them! Alfie is eager to make friends with canines of all sizes, so he’d be thrilled to have a playful buddy in his new home, though he’s also content being the center of attention. Cats? He has a playful enthusiasm for them. A dog-savvy cat who can handle his exuberance would be a great fit. Alfie is also good with kids, but since he’s still young, he can be a bit mouthy or nippy during playtime. A family that will help him learn the ropes of proper behavior would be perfect. Alfie is crate-trained, and he settles down best when he’s had enough exercise and mental stimulation. If boredom sets in while he's crated, he might let you know it! He’s looking for a cheerful, social family that wants a companion ready for new adventures each day. Despite his small size, Alfie carries a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was rescued in Texas and is searching for a foster-to-adopt family in the northern states, where you can spend a few weeks getting to know him and seeing if you’re the right match. Transport runs every other weekend, so he’ll be making his journey north soon. Pickup locations include Winchester, VA, East Hartford, CT, and Brattleboro, VT.
