Found alongside three other dogs near the Texas/Mexico border, Amber had recently lost her puppies, leaving her heartbroken. It's clear that she yearned for her little ones, as she exhibited a motherly instinct that tugged at our hearts. Despite her past, she has blossomed into a gentle and affectionate dog. At around 4 years old and weighing 42 lbs, Amber appears to be a beagle mix with her small frame and shorter legs, though she's not as vocal as typical beagles. A delightful quirk of hers is rolling on her back and kicking her legs in excitement whenever someone reaches to pick her up. She craves human affection and is particularly fond of belly rubs. Amber gets along well with other dogs but would also do just fine as the only pet, as she enjoys lounging peacefully. She has no issues with cats and makes a sweet addition to any household. Obedient and house trained, she thrives in calm environments and loves to cuddle. Amber even dances around in joy when she's spoken to in a baby voice. This loving girl is spayed and fully vaccinated, needing only continued heartworm prevention. Amber is ready for her forever home, where cuddling and belly scratches are a must.
