About Jackson
Jackson is still searching for his forever home, and we know there's a perfect match out there for him. At six years old, Jackson has been in foster care for a while now, allowing his true personality to shine. He’s on a weight loss journey and looks fantastic, radiating confidence. You might say he’s become a little Romeo, especially fond of gentle, playful female dogs who understand social cues. Dominant dogs aren’t his style; he prefers respectful playmates who know their boundaries. Living with several other dogs, he has adjusted well. During the day, he roams freely around the house, uses the dog door like a pro, and is completely trustworthy indoors. When the dog door isn’t available, he holds his potty and lets you know when it’s time to go outside. Jackson is a snuggler, always eager to be with his favorite people. While he’s no longer a wild puppy, he still enjoys playful moments with his canine friends. However, please note that he does have a tendency to resource guard his food. He happily eats alongside other dogs with proper supervision and space but will react if another dog approaches his bowl while eating. His forever family should be prepared to manage mealtimes and ideally feed him separately. Additionally, we recommend a home without small children.
