About Katana

Katana is a joyful puppy, about 10 weeks old, who has already overcome such a tough start in life. She and her siblings were found abandoned with their mother in a remote area of rural Arkansas, living under a bridge. Their mom, struggling to protect her little ones from surrounding dangers, did everything she could to raise them despite being starved herself. Thankfully, they have all been rescued and are now thriving in a foster home. This sweet girl is likely a mix of Hound and Border Collie, though her exact lineage is a bit of a mystery. We estimate she’ll be a nice medium-sized dog, weighing between 40-50 lbs when fully grown. Katana is good with other dogs and has shown an amiable nature with children, making her a great addition to any loving home. She has been spayed, is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. While she hasn’t been exposed to cats yet, being a puppy, she should adapt well. At this time, she is not house trained but with consistency and love, she’ll undoubtedly learn quickly. Katana can be adopted locally in Arkansas or in the New England states, with transport options available for suitable adopters. Your opportunity to give this resilient pup the loving home she deserves is just a click away!
