Albie is a resilient little soul who has encountered a lot of change in his life. After losing his beloved owner and transitioning to a new environment, he's been slowly recovering and returning to his joyful self. In his foster home, Albie has shown a love for people, other dogs, and even cats. An older child who can respect his need for space would be a great match for him. While Albie enjoys leisurely walks on a leash—though he's still mastering that skill—he also loves car rides and generally manages to sleep through the night. Housetraining is still a work in progress, so he's using a belly band and potty pad for now. Though he has some limitations with his hearing and vision, he’s quite adaptive. He enjoys gentle scratches under his ears and at his tail's base, follows people around, and prefers short periods of being held. A home with a fenced yard would be fantastic for him, allowing him to explore at his own pace and indulge his curiosity. His future adopters should be patient and ready to help him adjust to his surroundings. They will need to understand that building his confidence will take time, but he has the determination to connect and thrive.
