About Scout
Meet Scout. This handsome 3-year-old Husky/Heeler mix is ready to find the forever family he’s been waiting for. When Scout first entered foster care, he had little socialization and didn't know how to navigate the world. Over the last few months, he has made incredible progress! He’s learning to trust, gaining confidence, and discovering just how wonderful life can be. Once Scout warms up to you, his charming personality shines. Affectionate and eager to please, he walks nicely on a leash, does well in his kennel, and is an excellent car rider. He enjoys outings and has shown that he can handle public adventures well. Scout gets along beautifully with his canine foster siblings and has shown little interest in the cat in his foster home. He even ignores chickens when they fly over into his side of the fence. He has done well with older children but hasn't been around younger ones. Surprisingly, despite his Husky lineage, Scout is a generally quiet dog, barking only occasionally. Whether you seek an adventure buddy or a quiet couch companion, Scout is eager to be by your side. He just needs someone ready to give him time, patience, and love as he continues to blossom. Come meet Scout and see what a wonderful companion he would be. Scout is ready for his forever home—could it be yours? He weighs approximately 42 lbs, and his adoption fee is $150.
