About Nyx
Nyx arrived at the rescue alongside her puppies, who were quick to find new homes. Unfortunately, Nyx has struggled with socialization, showing fear towards people and hesitance with walking on a leash. Recently, she has made progress; she is playful with other gentle and sociable dogs and has started to walk more comfortably on a leash while enjoying chin scratches from familiar humans. To thrive, Nyx would benefit from a calm, patient home environment where she can learn not to be afraid. Having a playful and confident dog around could also help guide her. Recently, she’s faced some setbacks, having been over-corrected by another dog during play, which has made her more cautious and reserved. After a two-month foster stay, although she did well there, she continues to show fear and anxiety, especially around confinement. Nyx is a sensitive soul who needs a special, understanding adopter to help her gain confidence and feel secure.
