About Sammy

Sammy is a friendly female cat with a heartwarming history. At just over two years old, she was discovered rummaging through a dumpster in Jersey City and is now safe at our shelter, transferring from a partner rescue. Sammy is sweet and enjoys being around people and other cats, having spent time in a foster home where she also had exposure to dogs. This adaptable kitty is FIV positive, but don't let that deter you. Many cats with FIV lead happy, healthy lives with proper veterinary care. It’s important to note that FIV spreads primarily through deep bite wounds, making it possible for Sammy to coexist with friendly, non-aggressive cats. Sammy is also FLV negative and microchipped, ready to find her forever home. If you’re seeking a gentle and affectionate companion, Sammy is the one. Click apply to start the adoption process.
