About Pepper
Pepper came to Revelation Gardens from an outside cat colony near the local Elks Lodge, several years before that colony’s emergency evacuation. She’s a lovely and quiet girl, but she’s also a bit shy and prefers to keep her distance. Pepper isn’t a lap cat and doesn’t actively seek petting. In fact, when approached too closely, she tends to step back rather than lean in for affection. } Over time, staff learned that not all cats show happiness through physical touch. Pepper feels safe and content without the need to be held or cuddled. Could she thrive in a home of her own? It’s possible but would require a special person. This individual would need to understand that adopting Pepper isn’t a project to fix her but rather a journey of patience and understanding. The joy of having Pepper might come from her simply relaxing across the room and finding comfort in her surroundings without pressure. At Revelation Gardens, Pepper has a safe haven, but we won’t rule out a welcoming home if someone can appreciate her for who she is.
