Pugberto is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm and is doing well in our care. While he isn't quite ready to head home just yet, we wanted to introduce him to everyone and give him a chance to start finding his forever family. Once he completes his treatment and receives clearance from our veterinary team, he'll be ready for adoption. At 9 years old and weighing 33 pounds, Pugberto is not your typical pocket-sized Pug—he's more like two Pugs in one! His handsome apricot coat adds to his charm, and though he was once a stray, he’s fully focused on his bright future. This gentle giant loves people of all ages and is sociable by nature. Pugberto tends to take things slow, but once he warms up to you, you'll have a loyal friend for life. He gets along well with other dogs and prefers a relaxed lifestyle, enjoying the simple pleasures of companionship. What he craves most is affection. Watching him realize he’s safe is heartwarming, as he eagerly returns love to those around him. Pugberto is ready to leave his stray days behind for good.
