Meet Laela, a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix with a coat of black and white that reflects her vibrant spirit. Weighing about 30 pounds, this sweet girl is searching for a place where she can finally shine as the center of attention. Laela's journey began in the woods where she was found pregnant and alone, but after nurturing her six beautiful puppies to adoption, it's now her time to find a loving family. Laela thrives on human companionship and would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the day, making her ideal for retirees, remote workers, or stay-at-home parents. She has been fostered with other dogs but truly prefers to be the only pet in her forever home, wanting all the love to herself after being a dedicated mama. Fully potty trained, Laela also sleeps well in her crate at night, though she shares her thoughts about it during the day. She's beginning to discover new joys of being a dog, like playing and gaining confidence. Leash walking is still a work in progress, but she is making strides towards improvement.
