About Franklin

Franklin is a sweet senior cat looking for a calm, loving home. This playful yet independent feline has three legs, but that doesn't slow him down; he loves to play with a variety of toys, especially wand toys and climbing on his cat tree. While he's friendly and affectionate, loud noises and energetic environments can be overwhelming for him, making a quieter setting the best option. Franklin prefers older kids or ideally a home without children. He's not a fan of dogs, so a canine-free environment would be ideal for his happiness. Having lived with other cats, he may enjoy the company of fellow felines as long as things stay peaceful. Right now, Franklin is enjoying a foster home through our Shelter Cat Getaway program, where he has a cozy break from shelter life. Located in Des Moines, IA, this lovable kitty can’t wait to find his forever family. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
