About Riley
Meet Riley, a vibrant 12-year-old Yorkie who has lots of spirit despite being labeled a senior. Weighing 16 pounds, he came to us as a stray but shows no signs of slowing down—he loves romping outside, playing with toys, and showering his people with affection. His joyful personality shines when he's rolling in the grass or enjoying cozy moments nearby. Riley has some special needs due to uniquely curved front legs and a collapsing trachea, which means long walks aren’t his thing. A fenced yard is essential for him, allowing him to explore safely. While he enjoys being around other dogs, calm companions are best since he can feel overwhelmed by energetic ones. He’s not suitable for homes with cats or small animals due to his high prey drive. Although Riley is house trained, he’s accustomed to regular outdoor breaks and currently sleeps in a crate at night. He would thrive in a calm home, preferably without small children, as he tends to be possessive about food and toys. Riley loves being with people, so he ideally needs a family that’s around most of the day to keep him company. Looking for a warm-hearted buddy who loves the simple joys in life? Riley might be your perfect match! He’s ready to bring love and laughter to a special home. Click apply to start the adoption process.
